This calzone wreath makes a festive dinner or holiday party appetizer. It takes about 30 minutes with our Skillet Lasagna meal starter. Find a store near you: HERE
My seven year old said this dinner was a "dream come true!"
You'll need:
1 Mostly Made Skillet Lasagna Meal Starter
2 cups mozzarella
4 cans crescent roll dough
1 cup pizza sauce (optional for serving)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°. If frozen, defrost Skillet Lasagna Meal Starter by soaking in water or refrigerate up to 40 days. To give a more perfect look, drain excess liquid from Skillet Lasagna.
2. This makes two wreaths; each wreath will use 2 cans of dough. Lay out 2 cans of dough in a circle (see image below). Fill with half of the Skillet Lasagna and shredded cheese. Repeat for the second wreath.
3. Fold over dough, crimp edges, and brush with egg wash. Sprinkle dough with parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning for extra flavor, if desired.
4. Bake at 375° for 25 minutes. Serve with warmed pizza sauce on the side.

No time to layer and bake? No problem! Just add tortellini directly to the skillet and simmer everything right on the stove. The cheesy tortellini mimics the taste of lasagna without the layering and baking.

These sweet potatoes were so good that I even ate the potato skin! You could substitute russet potatoes if you prefer.
You'll need:
1 package Mostly Made Skillet Lasagna Mix
3 small sweet potatoes (baked)
1 cups mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
1. Cook whole sweet potatoes. Pierce skin with fork then microwave 5-10 minutes or bake 30-40 minutes in a 400° oven. The potatoes are done when you can easily pierce them with a fork. I like to bake my sweet potatoes in advance and keep them in the fridge until I'm ready to assemble this.
2. Slice cooked potatoes in half lengthwise and arrange cut-side up in a 9"x6" baking dish.
3. Spoon Skillet Lasagna Mix over the cooked potatoes and sprinkle with mozzarella.
4. Bake 350° uncovered for 30 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serves: 4 people
Prep time: 5 minutes (~5-40 minutes to bake the potatoes)
Bake time: 30 minutes

Here's our favorite timesaving trick: you don't need to pre-boil the noodles! Just soak them in hot tap water for a few minutes before you assemble. Make sure to bake it with a lid so the uncooked pasta has time to steam.

9 lasagna noodles
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

I use Bob's Red Mill Gluten-Free Pizza Crust mix to keep it GF and because it makes the two crusts so I can feed my family of 4 (and I often have leftovers).
Mostly Made fillings are gluten-free (each batch is tested to ensure there's no gluten).
Special tips for using gluten-free dough:
- Roll out dough on parchment paper that you lightly spread with olive oil. Use the parchment to easily fold over the calzone once filled. It also makes clean-up easier.
- If the gluten-free dough is sticking when you roll it out, dip your fingers in water. This makes it much easier to spread out.
- Pre-cooking the GF pizza dough for ~2 minutes before you add the Lasagna filling makes it easier to fold over the calzone. This is true for gluten-free dough, but not necessary for regular dough.
- Before you add the Filling to the calzones, heat the lasagna filling in the microwave for 2 minutes to cut down on the baking time. This ensures the center will be hot without burning the crust.

This family-friendly hot dish comes together in minutes with our Lasagna Filling. The cooked spaghetti makes a tender crust that's crispy along the edges. It's a great way to use up leftover spaghetti!
]]>You'll need:
8 oz dry spaghetti
2 eggs
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1 Mostly Made Lasagna Filling
3/4 cup crushed tomatoes
1 cup shredded mozzarella
Instructions:
1. Thaw Mostly Made Lasagna Filling by soaking bag in hot water or microwaving pouch for 2-5 minutes.
2. Preheat oven to 350°. Boil spaghetti until al dente, drain, and rinse with cold water too cool the pasta.
3. In a large bowl, beat 2 eggs with 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Add the cooled pasta and stir to combine.
4. Coat a 9" pie plate with olive oil or cooking spray. Add the spaghetti & egg mixture to the pie plate and use a fork to form a 'crust' – indented in the middle while coming up a bit along the edges.
5. Microwave the Lasagna Filling until warm – usually 3-5 minutes. You can heat it directly in the boil-in-a-bag pouch or in a bowl.
6. Spread the Lasagna Filling on top of the spaghetti crust; then smooth 3/4 cup crushed tomatoes. Top with 1 cup mozzarella and remaining 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese.
7. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes and allow pie to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
