Shepherd's Pie

Just add ground beef (or lamb) and top with your go-to potato recipe!

You’ll need:
1 package Mostly Made Shepherd’s Pie Mix
1 pound ground beef or lamb

      For the mashed potatoes...
1.5 lbs potatoes
½ cup milk
Tbsp butter
¾ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper


Directions:

    1. Preheat oven to 400°.

    2. Prepare the mashed potatoes. Slice potatoes into ½-inch rounds and boil in water until tender (about 15 minutes). Drain water and add the milk, butter and salt then mash until smooth.

    3. In 10” oven-safe skillet, brown ground meat over medium heat until no longer pink. Add the Mostly Made Shepherd’s Pie mix and stir to combine. Cook over medium heat until bubbling.

    4. Smooth mashed potatoes evenly over the top of the shepherd’s pie.

    5. Bake 20 minutes, uncovered, until bubbling around the sides. Broil on high for 1-4 minutes until potatoes crisp.
