Just add ground beef (or lamb) and top with your go-to potato recipe!
1 package Mostly Made Shepherd’s Pie Mix
1 pound ground beef or lamb
For the mashed potatoes...
1.5 lbs potatoes
½ cup milk
2 Tbsp butter
¾ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
- Preheat oven to 400°.
Prepare the mashed potatoes. Slice potatoes into ½-inch rounds and boil in water until tender (about 15 minutes). Drain water and add the milk, butter and salt then mash until smooth.
- In 10” oven-safe skillet, brown ground meat over medium heat until no longer pink. Add the Mostly Made Shepherd’s Pie mix and stir to combine. Cook over medium heat until bubbling.
- Smooth mashed potatoes evenly over the top of the shepherd’s pie.
- Bake 20 minutes, uncovered, until bubbling around the sides. Broil on high for 1-4 minutes until potatoes crisp.
